Prom Decorations

The story of Anderson’s began in 1968 when Charles B. Anderson purchased the Walter’s Company, a modest direct-mail organization located in Waseca, Minn. Originally a 32-page prom and decorating catalog, Walter’s was mailed to high schools throughout the country. Within the next three years the Walter’s catalog, now renamed Anderson’s, experienced rapid growth and the decision was made in 1969 to move the prom and party company to White Bear Lake, Minn.

The Anderson’s Prom Catalog was first printed in color in 1969. In 1977 Anderson’s published a companion Homecoming Catalog to service the country’s high schools’ special Homecoming needs. Encouraged by the company’s continuing growth, Mr. Anderson relocated his business to an even larger facility in White Bear Lake. Originally specializing in decorations, the catalog soon began offering imprinted glassware, frames and invitations, as well as key chains, photo albums and candles.

Anderson’s has continued to expanded its product line to include the unique needs of elementary schools, cheerleaders, pep squads, booster clubs, post-prom and post-graduation parties, in addition to holiday and seasonal celebrations.
